A second quarter of 19th century patinated bronze Rococo Revival repeating carriage clock

French, Royal Exchange, London
The boldly cast case with fluted side panels and caryatids to the corners above a fruit and leaf swag on base with spreading scroll feet, glazed openwork top panel and dolphin handle, the signed gilt circular dial within hinged bezel, Roman numerals and floral half hour marks enclosing a scroll engraved centre with blued steel Breguet style hands, the twin chain fusee movement with lever platform escapement with compensated bimetallic balance, rack striking the hour and half hour on blued steel gong with trip repeat.

9 in (23cm) high including handle.
