Toplever and rib numbered' 1', best bouquet and foliate-scroll engraving, some hardening-colour, cocking-indicators (ejectors defective), well-figured replacement stock (small crack to the right side of top tang), the chopper-lump barrels with game-rib engraved J. Purdey & Sons, Audley House, South Audley Street, London. Made of Sir Joseph Whitworths Fluid Pressed Steel
Weight 6lb. 13½oz., 14¾in. stock, 30in. barrels, approx. ¼ & ¾ chokes, 2½in. chambers, London nitro proof

The makers have kindly confirmed the gun was completed in May 1930 for M.S. McCorquodale and was numbered 1 to match gun no. 22198. In July 1962 it was restocked by the makers for Lord McCorquodale

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
