A Powder-Flask In German Late 16th Century Style
19th Century

With cowhorn body of curved flattened triangular form (minor insect damage), the front engraved with an oval cartouche containing a dog and waterfowl in a landscape, the sides with stylised ropework, the back with triangular panels of foliage, border engraved brass mounts, conical nozzle with sprung iron tap and scrolled cut-off lever, and two rings for suspension
