A Flintlock Powder-Tester
Early 19th Century

Of box-lock pistol form, with brass action engraved with a vacant oval against a martial trophy and foliage on one side, and with a Britannia shield centred on foliage on the other, border engraved arms carrying the indicator wheel acting against a spring, graduated from '10' to '25' on one side and with integral dolphin-shaped anvil fitting against the muzzle, exposed trigger, and figured flat-sided butt (repaired)
