Six Pistol Cases, And Two Cases For Longarms
All 19th Century

The first variously of mahogany and oak, lined and fitted in green baize of pairs of pistols and accessories (two relined), one lined in dark velvet (lid split, veneer incomplete), and one intended for surgical instruments (interior incomplete), brass-mounted and with lid escutcheon engraved with owner's name 'William Williams', two each with flush-fitting brass carrying handle; the last comprising a brass-mounted oak case lined and fitted for a percussion d.b. sporting gun and accessories, the interior of the lid with Westley Richards trade label (damaged), the exterior with flush-fitting brass carrying handle, and a mahogany case lined and fitted in plum velvet for an aircane and accessories, the interior of the lid with handwritten instructions card signed 'W. Hollis, 73 Bath St., Birmin.m', the exterior with shaped brass escutcheon (8)
