Four Pistol Cases
19th Century And Later

The first of oak, fitted and lined in burgundy velvet for a revolver and accessories, the interior of the lid with Henry Atkin Ltd trade label stamped in gilt letters with 88 Jermyn Street, London address for 1918-1952, the exterior with circular brass escutcheon engraved with owner's name 'H.R.V. Cooke'; the second Dutch and of mahogany, fitted and lined in navy blue velvet for a revolver and accessories comprising cleaning rod, turnscrew and oil bottle, the interior of the lid stamped in gilt letters 'Charles De Beaumont, Geotroijeerd Fabriekant, Maastricht, Holland', the exterior (old split) with shaped vacant brass escutcheon; the third of oak and intended for a revolver, the interior lined in blue baize (compartments missing); and the last of leather (some wear and damage) lined in purple velvet, the exterior of the lid stamped with gilt owner's initials 'A.G.A.C.'
