London Silver Hallmarks For 1765, Maker's Mark, Probably Of John Reynolds
With bright slender curved fullered blade double-edged towards the point, the forte on both sides etched with a star between designs of symmetrical foliage, cast and chased hilt comprising quillon-block with a lion in a landscape on one side, and a hound pursuing a boar on the other, recurved quillons each with hound's head tip, swelling spirally-fluted ivory grip, lion-head pommel with button, and silver knuckle-chains, in its black leather scabbard with original silver locket, chape and suspension mount chased with foliage, the locket inhabited by an eagle on one side, and with two rings for suspension
