With bright curved single-edged hollow-ground blade etched, blued and gilt with foliage including roses, thistles and shamrocks representing the Union, crowned 'GR' cypher, martial trophies, and two female figures including Britannia, gilt-brass hilt comprising knuckle-guard and rear quillon cast and chased in relief with oak foliage, langets each with applied martial trophy, horse's head pommel, its mane extending down the back-piece, and chequered ivory grip, in original gilt-copper scabbard (some wear) engraved with foliage at the locket, chape and suspension mount, the inner side enclosing martial trophies, and on the outside with applied cast and chased Classical medallions, laurel wreath rings for suspension, and in fine condition
