Three Turkish Flintlock Holster Pistols
19th Century

The first of 22-bore, with two-stage barrel, foliate engraved flat bevelled lock, carved full stock inlaid with silver wire and pellets on the butt (escutcheon replaced), and steel mounts including spurred pommel with encrusted brass decoration and borders (worn overall, ramrod-pipes and ramrod missing); the second of 20-bore, with two-stage barrel, the breech stamped with a crescent and counterfeit proof marks, border engraved lock with a crescent and stars on the tail, figured full stock (butt with minor chips), brass mounts en suite with the lock, and false ramrod (tip missing); the last of 15-bore, with earlier barrel (worn), rounded lock, figured full stock carved behind the barrel tang, brass mounts including cast lion-mask below the vacant escutcheon on the back of the butt, spurred pommel cast with foliage and with silver cap, plain fore-end cap, and original steel ramrod with swelling faceted tip (3)
