2 gelatin silver prints, one vintage, the first printed c. 1970, the second printed 1949 and flush-mounted; the first signed, titled, and dated in ink in the margin; the second signed, titled, dated and annotated 'This was shot just before the frame in the Time Life photo series - "Documentary Photography"' in pencil/ink on the flush-mount verso. (2)

Minutes after I had taken this picture, we all cowered in doorways across the street trying to keep the swirling sand out of our eyes. It turned out to be a freak, city-wide windstorm.
