Marlon Brando, as Brutus, 1952. Brando wanted to know where I had had it made my skirt came from (I had had it made in Italy), whether I was familiar with the philosophy book that was lying on his dressing room table (no, I wasn't) and could I play chess (no, I couldn't.) After that he lost interest in me and turned his attention to the chess game with Lew Berg, the reporter who was with me.
