A star-studded party was given by Marion Davies in honor of the singer Jonny Ray. Marion Davies was selling her estate, so the affair was also a farewell to the house. The place was enormous...It was easy to meld with the crowd and come out with intimate photographs, since I was dressed for the occasion and the only female photographer there.
