Literature
Geiser & Baer, Picasso Peintre-graveur, Catalogue raisonné de l'oeuvre gravé, Berne, 1990, Volume IV (B.A.b 1037).

Continuing to push the experimental nature of the medium and one of his last experiments with linocutting, Femme à leur toilette, 1964 is an example of Picasso's 'rincée linoleums' technique. Just after printing and while still wet and sticky with white ink, the paper would be worked over by Picasso with black India ink. He would then take the paper over to his bathtub to 'rinse' the sheet with a shower hose carefully washing off some of the black ink – leaving a mottling effect and a final image which swings on the boundary of printing and watercolour. Each impression is therefore unique.
