Coquillages originates from the esteemed collection of long-time art supporters Michael and Marilyn Mennello. The couple married in 1977, and began collecting a superior collection of Old Master and French Impressionist paintings. Throughout their marriage, the couple's passion revolved around collecting, preserving, and donating art, sharing their collection at notable museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the High Museum. Upon retirement, the couple focused their energy on establishing the illustrious Mennello Museum of American Art in Orlando, Florida.
