Ronald Cobb (British, 1907-1977): An original costume design for a Murray's Cabaret Club showgirl in a milkmaid costume,

the hand-painted pencil, watercolour and gouache costume design on card featuring a showgirl in a low-cut, pink, blue and white milkmaid's outfit with matching hat, annotated in pencil Bo Peep No. by the artist, also part signed by the artist to the bottom right corner, mounted, framed and glazed, sight 7 3/4in x 16in (19.5cm x 40.5cm)

As well as the extravagant designs, Cobb also had the ability to turn relatively mundane uniforms or costumes into more sensual ensembles, as shown here with this milkmaid costume.
