the arched case over arched brass fish-scale silk backed sound frets and inlaid brass marquetry of Greek key design with indented moulding on a raised plinth base on raised brass ball feet, the signed 7" Roman painted dial with minute marker with blued steel spade hands with a lever for strike/silent, the knopped pillar twin wire fusee movement with anchor escapement and repeat cord, the backplate with an engraved border with brass bob pendulum and stop, striking the hours on a bell (stamped J.D), with brass bob pendulum and an associated winding key, 42cm high
