the four pillar case with turned finials, surmounted by a strapped bell with corresponding finial, the sides with hinge doors and pierced scrolling crestings, the arched 7'' square dial with silvered Roman chapter ring with matted centre below a signed circular boss and with applied scrolling spandrels and mounts, the brass twin fusee movement with anchor escapement, pendulum and two winding key, mounted on an ebonised stepped square plinth base, 43cm high overall
