A wucai 'Eight Buddhist Emblems' jar

Wanli six-character mark and of the period
The ovoid body decorated around the exterior with the Eight Buddhist Emblems interspersed with meandering lotus scrolls issuing blossoming blue lotus heads, all between a ruyi-head band on the shoulder and a petal-lappet border around the foot, later wood cover. 17.5 (6 7/8in) diam. (2).
