Realistically designed as an oak leaf, the leaves pavé-set with old brilliant and single-cut diamonds, the three acorns (a conch pearl, white pearl and a golden pearl) in rose-cut diamond cups, mounted in silver and gold, diamonds approximately 7.95 carats, later pin fitting, length 7.9cm, fitted case by Harvey and Gore, 4 Burlington Gardens, London, W

This brooch is a beautiful example of 19th century botanical naturalism in high jewellery. The oak represents strength of love.
