A Chamberlain vase and cover, circa 1810

Of classical urn form with two gilt dolphin handles, lion mask medallions in brown at the terminals, finely painted with a titled view of the 'Grotto of the Cumaen Sibyll', two distant figures walking towards the cave, reserved on a gilded vermiculé ground, the solid gilt domed cover with an acorn finial, 35cm high, script mark and title in red (2)
