A large huanghuali table cabinet, guanpixiang
Mid Qing Dynasty
Of rectangular form, the hinged cover lifting to reveal a separate compartment above a pair of richly-figured doors on a low base, the doors opening to reveal four short and one long drawers with lozenge-shaped metal plates and oval-shaped pulls, the front mounted with a circular metal lock-plate and a cloud-form hasp, flanked by a pair of bail handles at the sides, the vividly-grained wood of a rich reddish-brown tone. 35.5cm (14in) high x 34cm (13 1/2in) wide x 28.5cm (11 1/4in) deep.

黃花梨為材，蓋帽平頂，四角包白銅，門框悶榫攢邊，頂部鎪子母口與蓋合，外安如意鎖頭，門扇獨板，兩側安兩對白銅活頁，箱內分三層五屜，屜門安白銅活，箱整體規矩方正，發色金鬱。
加州傢倶博物館藏一件黃花梨官皮箱頗似本件，見王世襄及 著，《中國古典家具博物館藏珍》，香港，1995年，編號66，頁140-141。佳士得紐約售出兩件十七/十八世紀黃花梨官皮箱，其銅活略有不同，餘部頗類似，可資參考，1999年9月16日，拍品編號60及68。
