A pearlware 'Squire' Toby jug, circa 1790

Seated on a handsome corner chair, the mottled brown foaming mug of beer in his right hand resting on his knee, his left hand supporting a long-stemmed pipe, wearing a green tricorn hat and jacket, a dark blue waistcoat and brown shoes, his breeches left in the white, 28.5cm high
