TWO MOLDED PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLES

1820-1880
The first of elongated, tapering ovoid form rising to a deeply waisted neck beneath a gilt-heightened flat lip, molded on one side with a three-clawed dragon, reversed with a phoenix in flight in pursuit of a ruyi scepter, amidst dense clouds, framed between bands of ruyi-head and key-fret patterns on the neck, covered all over with various colored enamels, the foot rim unglazed, and the recessed base with an iron-red Jiaqing nianzhi mark; the second bottle crisply and deeply molded overall with the Eight Immortals in a outdoor setting against a repetitive wave ground, with ruyi-head lappets at the shoulder and foot, the oval foot rim surrounding a recessed with an iron red seal mark.
