Mammal Skull from Nebraska

White River Badlands Formation, Sioux County, Nebraska
This bizarre 30-million-year-old early mammal from the extinct oreodont mammal group exhibited some features of a pig and some characteristics of a deer. The present skull specimen is complete, and includes one neck vertebra. All of the teeth are of dark brown coloration, contrasting nicely with the light cream-colored skull bone. Discovered on privately owned land in the White River Badlands, the specimen is offered on a custom display stand.
