Rarely is such splendid blue coloration seen in ammonites from this Canadian locality. Coveted by collectors the world over, the stunning and varied palette of the finest specimens from the Bearpaw Formation is not seen in ammonites from other localities. The present specimen is nicely inflated; most examples are crushed from millions of years of pressure and heat. Here is an acquisition worthy of a fine invertebrate collection.
