A large late 18th century French ormolu and marble mantel clock with calendar

Folin L'Aine A Paris
The Neoclassical case surmounted by a small circular mirror finial held by two winged putti over the drum case flanked by urns and foliate scrolls over Doric columns and swagged garlands on a raised plinth on a black base with bun feet, the signed 5.75 inch white enamel Arabic dial with inner Arabic calendar dial with gilt fleur de lys hands and a blued steel calendar hand, the brass circular plated movement with silk suspension, with outside countwheel striking the hours and half hours on a bell, striking but not currently ticking. Sold with a sunburst pendulum and a brass winding key. 72cms (28ins) high (3)
