A good late 19th century French engraved brass repeating carriage clock

The rippled handle over an oval glass inspection panel and repeat button, engraved with fruit and foliate scrolls on a textured ground, the white enamel circular Arabic dial with blued-steel Breguet style hands set within a highly elaborate foliate mask, the two train movement with silvered lever platform escapement with bi-metallic compensated balance, striking the hours and half hours on a bell. Ticking, striking and repeating. Sold with a double ended brass winding key. 16cms (6ins) high (2)
