The case surmounted by a large tazza finial on a pagoda top with entwined serpents over ormolu side mounts with a cartouche of musical instruments in each, the body of the case supported by sphinxes on an x-frame raised pediment base on bun feet, the signed 4 inch white enamel Roman dial with Arabic outer minute track, with fancy hands set within a sun-burst bezel, the signed circular movement with anchor escapement, striking the hours and half hours on a bell. Ticking and striking. Sold with a sunburst pendulum and associated winding key. 39cms (15 ins) high (3)
