A good late 19th century French engraved gorge cased repeating carriage clock with alarm and calendar dial in the original travelling case

The case stamped 2904
The rippled handle over an oval bevelled glass inspection panel with repeat button, the white enamel circular Arabic dial with blued steel Breguet style hands, over two smaller dials, the left showing the date the right for the alarm, set within a foliate engraved mask, the two train movement with lever platform escapement and bi-metallic compensated balance, striking the hours and half hours on a bell. Ticking, striking and repeating. Sold with the original velvet lined travelling case with glass inspection panel and a double-ended winding key. 16cms (6ins) high (3)
