A Differensbildungsgerat Codebreaking Tool, German, 1939-45,

five cast metal cylinders with raised numbers, in metal framework, 11 1/2in (29cm) long

Footnotes

Apparently four of these devices, water damaged & non-working, were recovered from a German lake. There was much speculation about their purpose and use but they were apparently used for stripping additives from number codes. This particular example was described within the quarterly journal Cryptologia.
