An English Silver-Mounted Hanger
Late 17th Century, Indistinct Silver Maker's mark, Probably Of Thomas Vicaridge

Similar to the last, the blade with indistinct incised inscription between orb and cross marks within the fuller on both sides of the forte, hilt comprising lobed foliate engraved rear quillon, engraved quillon-block, knuckle-guard with a naked human figure between foliage on each side, pommel-cap embossed with a circle of foliage against a punched ground on top, and natural buckhorn grip with silver basal ferrule, in black leather scabbard with silver locket and chape, the former with frog-hook, the latter with border of pierced and engraved foliage
