An English Silver-Mounted Hunting Hanger
London Silver Hallmarks For 1733, Indistinct Maker's Mark

With earlier curved fullered blade double-edged towards the point and pierced towards the forte with a series of keyhole slots between groups of four circles, notched and waved along the back, and stamped on each side of the ricasso with a bladesmith's mark, a crowned recumbent stag(?), hilt comprising flat rounded side-guard, lobed rear quillon, knuckle-guard hooked into the domed pommel-cap, the latter with button, and natural buckhorn grip with basal collar
