A Fine And Rare Cased 90-Bore Flintlock Silver-Mounted Single-Trigger Over-And-Under Pocket Pistol

With blued octagonal barrels each signed in gold along the top flat, gold fore-sight, border engraved breech with platinum line, platinum-lined touch-holes, blued border engraved tang inlaid with engraved gold martial trophies, signed border engraved case-hardened locks each decorated with a starburst behind the semi-rainproof pan and decorated with foliage at the tail, foliate engraved 'French' cocks and steels (one an old replacement and fractured) each working on a blued external mainspring (one with some loss of finish) with roller, chequered figured rounded butt, border engraved mounts comprising pommel decorated with foliage on each spur and with a foliate border around the gilt butt-cap, the latter engraved with owner's crest and motto, D-shaped trigger-guard decorated with a martial trophy and foliage on the bow, gold escutcheon engraved with monogram 'GB', steel ramrod with characteristically chequered tip, and retaining some of its original finish: in original lined and fitted mahogany case with some accessories including original brass-mounted four-way powder-flask covered in red leather, the interior of the lid with maker's trade label, the exterior with brass escutcheon incorporating a flush-fitting carrying handle
