The first with double-edged blade of flattened diamond section, hilt with gilt-brass mounts comprising shaped quillon-block and pommel chased with roundels centred on bats, all against a finely punched ground, and swelling vertically reeded grip, in wooden scabbard covered in blond turtleshell and with mounts en suite with the hilt (some wear to gilding); the second with slender slightly curved fullered single-edged blade retaining traces of etched decoration at the forte, and characteristic brass hilt with roughly chased decoration, in original wooden scabbard covered in black leather with wire seam along the inside, brass mounts en suite with the hilt, and two rings for suspension; the third of characteristic form with silver-mounted dark horn grip, in original scabbard covered in black leather with chased silver locket and chape (side scabbard for by-knives missing); the last also of characteristic form, with brass-mounted wooden hilt (old damage), the mounts punched with circles each centred on a dot, in original brass scabbard (terminal damaged) decorated en suite, large suspension rings, and retaining its green plaited suspension cord (4)
