A rare sight at any auction, this watch represents the finest in Vacheron Constantin's watchmaking skills. The firm first made multi-complication watches with repeaters in the late 19th Century, and has fine tuned its skills ever since.
The "Patrimony Grand Complication" was launched at SIHH in 2007, and features minute repeating, perpetual calendar, and tourbillon functions. The 44mm platinum case houses the Cal.2755 movement which features an astonishing 602 parts. At the time of production, this was the most complicated watch that Vacheron Constantin produced. The attention to detail is perfectly exemplified in the minute repeating function which includes a centripetal speed regulator that eliminates the noise interference normally experienced with a pallet system. The manufacturer records the sounds of every minute repeater that leaves production in order to maintain service accuracy down the line. This ultra-desirable watch is truly a feather in the cap of any collector of haute horology.
