pipeclay, carved and engraved hardwood
length: 63.0cm (24 13/16in).

Footnotes

Pun-Mun were worn by men as hair ornaments and held in hand during ceremonies. This example has incised totemic carvings on both sides with traces of pipe-clay pigment still visible.
