Edo period (1615-1868), 19th century
Of upright form, bearing a kinji ground embellished with nashiji, decorated with small birds flying around clumps of chrysanthemums, two birds on the undulating ground beneath, all in gold takamaki-e with highlights of kirikane, the interior of nashiji; with a pale amber globular ojime; with a wood storage box. 9.2cm (3 5/8in).
