A rounded square box lacquered on the interior, exterior and overlapping lid half in red and half in black, the sides of the lid with a narrow rim at the bottom edge, cut out to frame a gilt-bronze chrysanthemum knob attached to a ring handle holding a silk cord to be tied over the top, with a similarly-decorated integral and removable deep square tray; with a wood storage box. 12.5cm x 17cm x 15.5cm (4 7/8in x 6 5/8in x 6 1/8in).
