By Ando Jubei, Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century
Each vase intricately worked in the musen (wireless) technique and forming a complementary design with either one or a pair of egrets wading besides flowering omodaka (three-leaf arrowheads) in a stream reserved on a a pale grey ground; each vase applied with silvered metal rims; signed on the base in silver wire with the mark of Ando Jubei. Each vase 24.2cm (9½in) high. (2).
