A large Heianjo tsuba

Momoyama period (1573-1615), late 16th/early 17th century
The tsuba of circular form, typically inlaid in brass relief with vine leaves and grapes, the tendrils trailing on either side, unsigned; with a wood storage box. 9.3cm (3 5/8in). (2).
