Patek Philippe's reference 5035 was the first wristwatch to contain a patented annual calendar movement, requiring a date correction only once a year at the end of February. The watch will automatically correct the date for the other months ending in 30 or 31 days. Produced from 1996 through 2005, the reference 5035 was then replaced by the reference 5146, which replaced the 24-hour indication with a moon phase, and added a power reserve display.
