A George III Irish gold freedom box

William Reynolds, Cork circa 1780
Oval form, the hinged cover engraved with the Cork arms surrounded by foliage and bright-cut engraving, the sides with beaded borders and engraved foliate swags, length 9cm, weight 171gms.
