An Edwardian jewelled silver-gilt chalice

with import marks for Crate & Son, London 1909
The bowl set two large aquamarines and multiple paste stones, the stem with seed-pearls, paste stones and diamonds, the hexafoil base chased with religious imagery and set with diamonds and rubies, with carrying case, height 22cm, weight of diamonds approximately 7 carats, silver weight total 24oz.

Footnotes

The inside of the base is engraved with a memorial inscription for Evelyn Mary Van Wart, daughter of the American artist Ames Van Wart.
