Tropical dials refer to UV exposure on the dials over a long period of time that creates a beautiful vintage look. Tropical dials are rare because these models were produced from roughly the 1950s through the 1970s, and not all dials can become tropical dials. This rare timepiece being auctioned has an evenly coloured tropical dial, this certainly adds vintage characteristics.
