馬連良（1901-1966），字溫如，回族，北京人。著名京劇老生表演藝術家，自上世紀二十年代至六十年代，一直活躍於舞台。馬連良博采眾長，而能融會貫通，自成風格，是稱「馬派」。「馬派」藝術唱腔清新俏麗、韻味醇厚，念白聲情並茂、動人心弦，身段瀟灑飄逸、形神兼備，刻畫人物細膩入微，至今依然保持旺盛的舞台生命力。
馬連良與同為京劇名角的梅蘭芳（1894-1961）、程硯秋（1904-1958）多有登台合作之機緣，一九五三年，馬、梅、程三人聯袂，親赴朝鮮，慰問演出。梨園中人大多愛好書畫，切磋技藝，常互為寫贈，引為雅趣。馬連良尤愛書畫、古董，樂於結交文人墨客，與張大千、齊白石皆友善。
