A green jade hexagonal teapot

17th/18th century
The large vessel carved to each face in low relief with tablets alternatively enclosing cursive script passages and landscapes, flanked with a loop handle and s-shaped spout, each with a carved beast mask at the hip, raised on a foot rim with further key-fret border; with a matched bowenite lid, 19th/20th century. 23.5cm (9 1/4in) wide (2).
