A rare reticulated white-glazed incense burner and cover

Circa 11th/12th century
Of spherical form, the domed cover pierced with triangular apertures around a stylised flowerhead with a central aperture at the top, the wide rim fitted over the inset lip of the hemispherical base raised on a cylindrical support with spreading foot, covered with a transparent glaze inside and out, fitted box. 10cm (4in) high.
