款識：胡秋碧沐手敬繪。
鈐印：一方漫漶不辨

註：據《海鹽圖經》：「胡秋碧，海鹽人，善傳神。嘗欲畫楚石禪師像千幅，畫将半而師化。俄，日本人至，見之皆羅拜，曰：『此吾國祖師也』，競以金售之，秋碧由此致饒。」楚石禪師為海鹽天寧寺高僧梵琦（1296-1370），俗姓朱，明州象山人。元順帝賜號「佛日普照慧辯禪師」，明太祖三詔至金陵主持蔣山法會，乃「明初第一等宗師」。以此推斷秋碧活躍於元末明初，惟傳世作品極稀。
