Carefully assembled primarily during the late 1960s and early 1970s from artists and dealers across Hong Kong and London, this collection is a testimony to the friendship between artists and patrons and the respect for traditional Chinese art that the Chinese diaspora still holds. The collection accompanied its late owner to different corners of the world, finally settling in Singapore, where it has remained for almost half a century. Being an extremely private man, the collector never showed any of these works publicly. In offering the collection, the family hopes one can appreciate the love and care that was devoted to the assemblage of the works. 此輯重要私人珍藏，涵十九件中國古代及近現代書畫，主要於上世紀六十年代末七十年代初悉心蒐集而成。彼時藏家往來香港、倫敦兩地，與當地藝壇雅士與書畫商往還頻仍，不僅存留一段畫家與收藏家之間的雅緣佳話，亦見證了海外華人對傳統書畫之推崇歷劫不衰。本輯珍藏曾隨藏家遷游四海，幾經輾轉，最終落腳星洲近半世紀。藏家生性低調，所藏生前從未示人。如今其人駕鶴西遊，所謂欣於所遇，暫得於己，不外乎此。其家人冀透過本次拍賣，令仝好分享他為此所傾注的心血與熱愛。
