Inscribed and signed Pu Ru, with two seals of the artist and Pu Jin, with one seal of the artist
The reverse, inscribed and signed Pan Changxu, with two seals of the artist

Note: acquired directly from the artist and thereafter by descent. Publisher and bookstore owner, Mr. Yu Luruo, lived in Shanghai from 1923 to 1947. Known in the local community, he was well acquainted with several artists including Fu Tienian, Pan Changxu and Zhao Baishan. Many paintings in the family collection were lost or destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, this lot and lot 276 are amongst the few that survived.

款識:一斛寒泉照紫騮,蕭蕭駿尾動高秋。夜來櫪上西風滿,欲傍寒雲飲隴頭。元傅若金詩。溥儒補景。

〈潘昌煦〉
款識:(杜甫《驄馬行》,詳文不錄)杜工部驄馬行寫應魯若先生清鑒。潘昌煦。
鈐印:潘昌煦印、戊辰翰林
上款:「魯若」為于魯若,民國時期經營出版社及書店,1923-47年間居於海上,他雅好繪事,與符鐵年、潘昌煦、趙白山等多位藝術家時相往還。惜所藏多毀於文革,本幅與編號276俱為劫後幸存,由其家人珍藏至今。
